Thuy Tu Consulting is a Portland-based firm dedicated to shaping a better future through meaningful infrastructure projects.
Thuy Tu has over 25 years of experience as a Senior Transportation Planner and Civil Engineering Project Manager utilizing people-focused urban design concepts and methods. Thuy works at the intersection of transportation, social justice, resiliency planning, climate change, and sustainability for public and private projects. While facilitating collaboration among infrastructure innovators, Thuy serves as a liaison for her community, ensuring that the voices of the people inform future action and engagement.
Thuy graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School and earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Portland, where her studies were focused on traffic and transportation. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Portland, the Portland Campus of the University of Oregon’s School of Architecture and Allied Arts, and a mentor of project management and civil engineering for the Portland State University Student Chapter of Engineers without Borders. Thuy also led a course on Master Planning for Resiliency for the Lents Community and Vision Planning for 82nd Avenue.
